‘Carrow is your everyday wife, full-time working mom, and accidental blog writer. Her testimony was very simple… She grew up in a loving home with Christian parents, graduated from Hewitt-Trussville High School in 1997, graduated from The University of Alabama in 2001, married a nice Christian young man in 2002 – Tim, had three children – Grace, Cole & Kayleigh, was active in the choir and teaching 7th grade Sunday school at their church… until May 2016.

During a routine doctor’s visit for what was suspected to be a sinus infection their family’s life turned upside down. Kayleigh, their 7-year-old daughter, was diagnosed with diffused intrinsic pontine glioma – DIPG, an inoperable brain cancer with 0% survival rate. ‘Carrow’s blog began to keep friends and family updated about Kaleigh’s treatment but God had far different plans. ‘Carrow’s honest, hope-filled and heartfelt narrative of Kayleigh’s story began spreading like wildfire. Prayer warriors followed from every state in the nation, six contents, numerous countries, and was translated into different languages. Through it all the theme remained the same – thankfulness for every moment, faith God is good, and trust that His plan is perfect.

‘Carrow wrote daily of the family’s journey, calling on prayer warriors far and wide to petition the Father for Kayleigh’s healing. As millions watched and prayed, God answered their prayers – just not as they had hoped. God granted Kayleigh heavenly healing on November 15, 2016. Yet even after Kayleigh’s death, ‘Carrow continued to write of God’s grace, mercy, and goodness – every day – even in the face of the most crushing loss the family never lost faith in God’s eternal plan.

In June 2017, after more than a decade in the steel industry, ‘Carrow felt the Lord directing her to resign from her sales position at Superior Steel Supply. Now her time is filled with writing, speaking, teaching and encouraging people to trust the Lord’s plan. She also serves as the Executive Director for the Prayers for Kayleigh Foundation. Begun in Kayleigh;s memory, the PFK Foundation raises funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research. For more information about the foundation, please visit http://www.thepfkfoundation.org.

‘Carrow, her husband Tim, and their children Grace & Cole reside in Hartselle, AL. Though the journey is hard, the family has no doubt that God’s plan is perfect. Kayleigh’s brief 7 years on this earth have made an impact throughout eternity on the lives of countless people. Knowing that their separation from Kayleigh is but a brief moment in eternity keeps the family moving forward sharing hope.  If you would like to read their journey from the beginning, visit either http://www.PrayersForKayleigh.com or the Prayers for Kayleigh Facebook page.
